Bob’s Auto Repair will open up its doors in Atlanta next year
The new Bob’s auto parts retailer will open its doors next year in the city where Bob’s, Inc. once stood.
Bob’s will be one of the few car dealers in the U.S. to make a transition to new locations as the industry enters an era of consolidation.
The company announced the news on Monday.
“We are very excited to announce that we will be opening our doors in our hometown of Atlanta,” Bob’s president and CEO Mark Hallett said in a statement.
“This will be the first time we are opening a store in the United States.”
Hallett told Next Big Futures that he is hopeful the move will help the company reach more customers in a city where its customers tend to be younger and have more disposable income.
Bob & Jones, a well-known and long-established auto parts supplier, will also open a new store in Atlanta in 2017.
The move is part of a broader shift to more urban locations for the automotive industry.
Hallents plan is to build a new facility in Atlanta that will offer a better product range, an expanded inventory, and better service.
